Continuing Education (CE) Credits

Required to renew for your CFAA Registered Technician designation

Continuing education is an ongoing requirement to ensure that technicians are up to date in industry practices and standards.

All technicians need continuing education

As a registered CFAA Fire Alarm Technician, you must submit continuing education credits to renew your registration.

Ongoing throughout the year

Continuing education seminars and classes take place all year, so participate and obtain credits as it fits your schedule.

Consists of 180 hours of course content

Some complete the program in 6 months! Most people take 1.5 to 2 years.

Add up your CE credits to complete your total for the year

Make sure you take enough seminars and classes each year to equal 8 full credits.

Renew your registration

Complete the CE Submittal Form and submit with documentation to renew your annual registration.
